Amazone has selected the optimum mounting positions to both protect the camera and to ensure the best view.
Front and rear
implements on tractors, either mounted or trailed, often obstruct the
view of the driver, both on the move and when manoeuvring. Camera
systems can help solve this problem and reduce the potential risks from
handling machinery, and with this in mind Amazone now offers a camera system from Brigade
as optional equipment for its FT 1001 front tank for sprayers, FPS/FRS
front tanks for sowing and numerous other implements from its
plant-protection, fertilising and sowing ranges.
With loading operations in mind, the 550-80 has high dump and roll-back angles of 46 degrees and 34 degrees respectively.
JCB has added the 550-80 Agri Plus Loadall to its agricultural telescopic handler line-up. The new machine is the highest capacity Loadall in the range and

Lemken's compact disc

previously been restricted to tined cultivators.

JCB has launched a new
range of skid steer loaders and compact track loaders that are the

Kuhn is selling mounted and trailed versions of the new Optimer cultivator.
KUHN has developed
its shallow cultivator range with the addition of the Optimer + in
mounted and trailed formats. Available in 3.0m, 4.0m, 6.0m and 7.5m
working width formats, this machine is designed as an independent disc
tool for shallow stubble cultivation as part of a minimum tillage

A front sprayer tank
option was launched by Vicon at Lamma 2012. The iXtra tank offers an
1,100-litre capacity giving the potential for 2,900 litres of total
capacity when combined with the 1,800 litre tractor-mounted sprayer.
Twose's Farmers Favourite range, including this grass harrow, are now sold in a new red livery.
Twose unveiled a new
eye-catching red livery for its best-selling Farmers Favourite range at
Lamma 2012. The new look features on popular products from the
company's range including bale handlers, a hydraulically folding grass

The Multi-Leader semi-mounted plough is new from Kuhn.
New to Kuhn's semi-mounted
reversible plough range is the single-wheel Multi-Leader, positioned as a

The Perkinz DrenchMaster is finding favour among New Zealand sheep farmers.

appointed two new dealers, both of which are well-established companies that recently lost their main dealer status with other brands. Somerset-based
Bigwood & Partners was formerly with Massey Ferguson, while Cumbria's Taylor & Braithwaite was, until recently, a John Deere dealer. Both will now be

New Holland has
announced that it will be fitting Cesar security systems as standard to
tractors manufactured at its Basildon, Essex, plant from early 2012.
The new GEOcontrol precision farming systems have been launched for both the Kverneland and Vicon brands.

has developed a series of advanced application controls for its
Kverneland and Vicon machinery ranges to boost accuracy and efficiency
within precision farming systems.

BASF has launched a new cereal fungicide, Adexar, based on active ingredient Xemium. Approved for use in wheat, barley, oats, rye and triticale, the new product comes from the SDHI group of chemistry.
Now meeting Stage 3B emissions legislation, Valtra's third generation N Series tractors are available with a front linkage integrated into their chassis.
Valtra's new N Series
tractor offering, which was unveiled at Agritechnica 2011, now includes
the world's most powerful four-cylinder tractor. The N163 Versu and
Direct models both offer a maximum 171hp.
The third generation of S Series tractors have been announced by Valtra.
The Valtra S Series,
introduced in 2008, was the first agricultural tractor in the world to
feature SCR technology to clean exhaust emissions. Now the S Series has entered its third generation, as denoted by the last number in the model designation. The new models are the S233 (270hp), S263 (295hp), S293 (320hp), S323 (350hp) and S353 (370hp).
The Dieci AgriMax 60.9 features a finely sculpted weight block at the back.
Dieci unveiled its new
AgriMax 60.9 model at Agritechnica 2011. The machine can lift 6,000kg
to 8.6m and is powered by a 127hp FPT Industrial engine driving
a 120 lit/min hydraulic pump.
Deutz-Fahr is building 200 TTV models with gold pearlised paint and chrome trim to mark the 20th anniversary of the brand's CVT gearbox. Scheduled to be built in December 2011/January 2012, it is hoped some will make their way to UK dealers.
Same Deutz-Fahr has
appointed new dealers to cover the Argyll, Lancashire and Cumbria areas.
All three will be marketing the Deutz-Fahr tractor range which spans
the 60-275hp and includes high-powered CVT tractors.
Case IH's Farmall U Series tractors use EGR to meet the Stage 3B emissions standard.
Agritechnica 2011
marked the debut of a new range of mid-sized tractors from Case IH with
the launch of the Farmall U EfficientPower series delivering 90hp, 100hp and 110hp.
Lemken unveiled its
Vega sprayer concept at Agritechnica 2011. Since taking over sprayer
makers Jacoby and RTS in 2005, the company has already successfully
developed and introduced the Sirius mounted sprayer range to the market,
but the Vega is the first trailed sprayer designed by the firm's
engineers.
Kuhn has extended its
range of mechanical seed drills with the addition of the Sitera.
Available in 3m format, the mechanical drill can be used in combination
with Kuhn's HRB 303, HR 100 or HR 1000 series power harrows.
Kuhn has extended its
Maxima 2 range of precision seed drills with the addition of a 12m
trailed model. Working in 16 or 18 row formats, the Maxima 2 TRX offers
seed spacing from 70-80cm and folds to 3.5m for transport.
Bomford introduced a new
version of its well-proven Pro-Cut cutting head, which now incorporates a
retractable hydraulic roller, at the 2012 Lamma Show.
Horsch
will use the 2012 Lamma Show to launch two new drills – the Horsch
MiniDrill and DuoDrill – that are designed to extend the capabilities of
Horsch's existing cultivation equipment, making them suitable for both
first time and existing customers.
Leading specialist
manufacturer of stainless steel crop sprayer tanks, fixtures and
fittings, Watson & Brookman, has developed new pesticide induction
hoppers equipped with twin container rinsing nozzles. The
unique format exploits the complementary cleaning action of the
ProClean rotating multi-spray nozzle and the ProClean Plus blade jet
produced by Hypro-EU.
John Deere's European
Parts Distribution Centre has officially inaugurated its new
deconsolidation and packaging facility at Bruchsal, Germany, that will help to
streamline parts logistics and further enhance the supply of parts to
John Deere dealers and customers throughout Europe, the CIS, Northern
Africa and the Near and Middle East.
Compatibility with the Isobus
control interface is now a feature on specific models within Kuhn's
Axis 50.1W and Axis 40.1W twin-disc fertiliser spreader ranges. Models
in both ranges are available with and without the CCI 100 control box,
offering flexible solutions whether tractors are pre-fitted with an
Isobus facility or not.
Part of Kubota's M Series,
the M108S tractor will use exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) technology
and a particulate feature to meet Stage 3B emissions rules.
Tests by Germany's
Kiel Polytechnic have shown that Lemken's DuraMaxx wearing plough parts
can last up to 78 per cent longer than the company's conventional
components.
Horstine will launch a
new oilseed rape seeder called ProSeed at Lamma 2012. The unit can be
fitted to a wide range of subsoilers and cultivators to accurately
broadcast or band sow oilseed rape.
One of the more
unusual exhibits at Agritechnica 2011 was this prototype Ohard tool carrier
for orchards and vineyards from Swiss manufacturer Hinterland
International.
Grimme UK has
launched a new two piece hydraulic folding Rota Tilla with ridging body
for three bed operations, which will be available in limited numbers for
spring 2012 and will cost less than £30,000.
Simba Great Plains
will stage the UK launch of its new V-300 range of drills at Lamma 2012.
The V-300 is a 3m mechanical drill that needs just 100hp and is
designed specifically for Northern Europe. It can work in both
non-inversion tillage systems and as a direct drill.
Claas has developed a
unique engine output control system for its top-end Jaguar forage
harvesters that enables the engine to automatically change between 11
different power output levels depending on the load.
With
the newly designed 24-speed DirectDrive transmission, John Deere has
introduced a completely new technology to the agricultural machinery
industry and a further option to the new 6R Series tractor range. This
double clutch technology is already established in the prestige car
industry, and is now available in a tractor for the first time.
The new Case IH
Maxxum EfficientPower series, comprising six new four-and six-cylinder
110-140hp tractors, made its European debut at Agritechnica 2011.
Following a good
response to the introduction of a single T-Max model to the McCormick
range earlier this year, distributor AgriArgo UK has decided to offer
the complete line of 74-110hp tractors in Great Britain.
John Deere's all-new
line-up of heavy-duty H Series front loaders are designed to match a
wide horsepower range of new, current and older John Deere tractor
models. The whole range features
cast steel mounting frames, improved visibility and integrated
components, while a new patented parking stand and mast pins allow fast,
intuitive loader connection to and removal from the tractor.
New Holland has
redesigned and extended the TD5 range of tractors to provide traditional
dairy and livestock farmers with a reliable tractor at a very
competitive price. The series now features six models all with
distinctive New Holland styling that develop 65-113hp.
Massey Ferguson's latest MF
900 Series front-end loaders combine robust construction and simple
operation with the advanced new Loader Control System (LCS). This new
generation of tractor loaders build on the success of previous models'
strong reputation for performance and ease of use.
JCB unveiled its new
3000 Series Fastrac high-speed tractors at Agritechnica 2011. The two
models - the 3200 Xtra and 3230 Xtra - now feature Agco Sisu Power
engines and meet the Stage IIIB emissions standards.
New Holland preview its new
T5.115 at Agritechnica as part of the completely reinvented T5 Series
that is set to redefine the standard in the livestock and mixed farming
segments.
Deutz-Fahr
has launched two new high-power models with continuously variable
transmissions and new engines capable of producing up to 260hp.
Introduced at Agritechnica 2011, the 7 Series models meet the latest
Stage 3B emissions standards.
JCB unveiled the
latest generation of its Fastrac 8000 Series tractors – including a
brand new model offering greater power and torque for increased
productivity – at Agritechnica 2011. The latest models are the 8280 and
the new flagship of the range, the JCB Fastrac 8310.
Foxlights were
developed by an Australian farmer seven years ago when he was forced to
find a job away from his farm and was concerned about fox attacks
against newborn lambs. Prior to this he would patrol his fields at night
with a gun and spotlight.
New Holland launched
its new T6 range of tractors at Agritechnica 2011. Featuring ECOBlue SCR
technology for Stage 3B compliance, there are seven T6 models from
119-175hp.
Designed for heavy
duty applications, the Agrotron L730 is said by Deutz-Fahr to be the
ideal tractor for medium-large farms and contracting businesses.
The new Lamborghini
Green Pro range, specifically designed for the municipal services, green
keeping duties and small and medium farms featured on the Same Deutz-Fahr stand at Agritechnica 2011.
What's new in Farming managing editor Graeme Kirk reports on some of the new machines on show at Agritechnica 2012. Held in mid-November at Hanover, Germany, the event attracted more than 400,000 visitors including more than 100,000 from outside Germany.
Väderstad's first
precision maize drill will be launched at Agritechnica 2011. The Tempo
is a trailed six- to eight-row drill that's designed to be used at high
speed in conventional, reduced tillage and no-till conditions and will
be available in the UK for the 2012 season.
Fendt will introduce
three additional models for the 700 Vario Series at Agritechnica 2011.
The 714 Vario (145hp), 716 Vario (165hp) and the 718 Vario (180hp) join
720 Vario (200hp), 722 Vario (220hp) and 724 Vario (240hp) announced in
the middle of 2011.
Keenan has developed
and refined the Keenan Bale Handling System, which is not only quick,
efficient and effective, but is also a complete system in that it caters
for those who use either small or large quantities of baled material.
Fendt will present
its new CargoProfi front loader at Agritechnica 2011. The professional
loader is based on the tried and tested Cargo front loader, but sensors
installed in the 5X arm allow completely new features to be realised,
for example, a weighing and memo function.
Amazone
has introduced a new weigh-cell spreader in the 1,000-litre hopper size
class. The new ZA-M 1001 Special Profis benefits from electronic
weighing technology that, so far, has been only been available for
spreaders with larger hopper capacities.
Agritechnica 2011
will mark the market launch of the Fendt Katana 65 forage harvester. The
first small series of production models is already in operation on
customers' fields, and the company hopes to put up to 30 of the foragers
into operation during 2012.
Following the introduction of the company's new 6R Series large-frame tractors in June 2011, John Deere has now unveiled the complete 6R tractor line-up.
Designed for
heavy-duty, large-scale field operations, John Deere's new 9R and 9RT
Series tractors are the most powerful, productive and comfortable four-wheel-drive tractors the company has ever built. Available for 2012, the
new 9R and 9RT Series line-up consists of four wheeled tractors and
three tracked versions, and replaces the 9030 Series that was
introduced in 2007.
