AGCO has strengthened its position in Hampshire and parts of Sussex with the appointment of John Seale Ltd to sell Fendt and Valtra tractors, along with Massey Ferguson combines in specific areas of the counties.
The new business will work from premises at Quin Hay Farm, Froxfield, Petersfield. The dealership will be providing sales, support and service for Fendt and Valtra tractors in Hampshire and West Sussex and parts of East Sussex. It will also be selling Massey Ferguson combines in Hampshire and West Sussex.
This important appointment will not affect any current Massey Ferguson dealers in the region, Agco director of sales David Sleath said. “However, we will be making further announcements about future distribution of Massey Ferguson tractors and equipment in this region soon.
“Agco is very pleased that Adrian Seale has decided to take on the franchise for three of our brands in this key area. The dealership will strengthen our Fendt, Massey Ferguson and Valtra presence in the region and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the business, Mr Sleath added. "Over the years John Seale has built up an enviable reputation for first class service and customer support.
“Massey Ferguson is growing its harvesting business. Agco is investing heavily in the current combine range and will be introducing some exciting new developments in the future. John Seale is an acknowledged harvesting specialist and this appointment is a big step forward in the new development of our strategy to develop harvesting centres of excellence. This will ensure continued growth in our harvesting business in the UK and Ireland.”
Switching franchise after 30 years with one brand is a not a decision a dealer takes lightly, the Managing Director of John Seale Ltd, Adrian Seale, said.
“We have found already that Agco is a good company to work with. Fendt is well respected as the premier brand. I am sure our customers and farmers in the area will appreciate the tractors’ high level of standard specification such as Vario transmission, 50km/hr top speed and front axle suspension. Fendt also has a tremendous reputation for reliability and retaining residual values.
“Valtra is the ideal partner offering a broad range of tractors that not only has the power and specifications required by contractors and arable farmers, but also smaller, more straightforward models for the livestock and mixed farming sector. These tractors are complemented by Massey Ferguson combines and together provide us with a very strong product range for our customers. We are looking also forward to the exciting new combine harvester developments, which are on the horizon.
“We anticipate a long and happy relationship with Agco," Mr Seale added. "We have built our reputation on customer support and service and we are impressed with the back-up that Agco provides. The product support is first class and the parts ordering and distribution is also to the standard you expect from a major global supplier.”
