The seat swivels round and a small steering wheel slides into place in the reverse-drive CVX.
A REVERSE-Drive CVX195 and the new Puma CVX tractors will be two highlights at the Case IH stand at this year’s Grassland UK show.
The company will also demonstrate its LB423 and LB323 large balers, and its RB344 Fixed and RB454 Variable round balers.
The CVX195 Reverse Drive is one of just four in the UK, each built as a special order. The seat and MultiController arm can be simply rotated to face the rear of the tractor cab. A smaller second steering wheel, mounted on a rail across the back of the tractor cab is then slid into place in front of the operator above a second set of foot controls.
The change is quick and easy, allowing the tractor to be driven confidently in reverse for prolonged periods, in order to use equipment that is too heavy for a front-mounted linkage.
The CVX195 Reverse Drive to be shown at Grassland 2009, at Shepton Mallet, is destined for Ireland, where it will be used with a set of triple mowers.
