BRITISH sprayer manufacturers Team Sprayers displayed its latest Leader Mk 2 sprayers with fibreglass tanks in the Sprays & Sprayers area of Cereals 2009.

Available as an option on 3,500- and 4,000-litre models, they offer a considerable cost saving compared to stainless-steel tanks, which are still available.

A new tri-folding boom will also be unveiled that offers excellent stability without excessive overhanging when folded. Available in 28m and 30m widths, the tubular steel boom is finished with two-pack polyurethane paint for durability.

The Leader range is offered in capacities from 2,000 litres. A steering drawbar option is available, as well as an air recirculation system with air shut off to the nozzles. Air recirculation keeps fluids circulating at all times, even during transit, so the solution is kept at the correct mix.

The air shut off system activates the nozzles for immediate response with spray at the correct pressure and mix. The same air recirculation system is also available on Team Sprayers’ mounted Custom Deluxe tractor-mounted models with tank sizes up to 1,400 litres.

The Custom Standard mounted models are fitted with rear-folding booms that fold to just 2.35m wide, an important consideration for smaller operators and for safe road transport.

The self-levelling booms are built from steel tubular section for long-term durability, without unnecessary weight, and are available in widths up to 15m with a choice of manual or hydraulic operation.

All machines are close coupled to the tractor for stability, and engineered to Team’s high standards. Accurate chemical application is ensured by a high-quality pump and simple in-cab controls.
