Lemken: Compact-Solitair drill combination with power harrow

Published on March 1, 2010

FOLLOWING the successful introduction of the Compact-Solitair with Heliodor compact disc harrow front tools, Lemken has now launched the Compact-Solitair KK 9/600 complete with power harrow.
The 6m wide, hydraulic folding machine, equipped with a Zirkon 10 power harrow, offers intensive cultivation for users that require a high-capacity machine with a powered cultivation tool. The rotary harrow can be used to its full advantage in conventional as well as conservation cultivation methods. It creates a perfect seedbed in one pass, in practically any soil, particularly in heavy and very changeable soils.
The seed rate can be infinitely adjusted via an electric metering shaft, from 1-500kg/ha, regardless of speed. The Solitronic PRO provides all control and monitoring functions of the Compact-Solitair KK drill combination. The clearly laid out display shows graphically based, easy to use menus. All sorts of tramlines can be controlled with the Solitronic PRO on-board computer as well as the electronic seed wheel drive, coulter pressure adjustment and headland management.
The tyre packer roller ensures precise depth control of the rotary harrow and uniform reconsolidation without compaction. With 1,070mm diameter, the high-volume tyres are the largest in their class. Furthermore, each 3m section can follow the ground contours independently of its neighbour. This ensures a consistent work quality across the entire working width and makes the Compact-Solitair KK even easier to pull.
The tyres' large footprint ensures the machine continues to work well even in wet conditions. A staggered arrangement means the wheels are self-cleaning. Tyre width has been specially selected to allow three or four coulters behind the tyre, resulting in a row distance of 12.6cm or 16.7cm.

The seeds are placed by maintenance-free Lemken OptiDisc double-disc coulters. The tried and tested parallel suspension ensures optimum seed depth is achieved. The central hydraulic coulter pressure adjustment can generate a coulter pressure of up to 70kg/coulter. Ideal soil coverage is obtained by pressing the seed with the following press wheel. Furthermore, the Lemken drill combination can be equipped with a trapeze packer roller for a targeted pre-consolidation. Weight distribution between the tyre packer roller, and the trapeze packer roller, can be hydraulically adjusted.
Tank size is often the limiting factor in drill output, but the Compact Solitair KK drill combination uses a large 4,500-litre tank, minimising downtime for re-filling. The hopper can be easily filled with big bag, or filling auger. A solid plastic lid prevents the seed from dust and humidity. Lights inside and outside the hopper are available as option and provide safe work even in darkness.
