DANISH farm equipment manufacturer Dal-Bo has opened a dedicated UK sales office to sell its range of machines.
    The UK operation will be headed by former Kongskilde UK boss Steve Atkin. Mr Atkin has been involved in developing the Dal-Bo brand here since August 2007 when Kongskilde UK replaced Landmec as official importer.
    In an open letter posted on the Dal-Bo website, the company's export sales director, Hans Otto Wildfang, said the move was a further step in the expansion of the company's activities outside of Denmark, and one that showed its commitment to the UK market.
    "As a company we are always looking for new opportunities to further increase our market share on all markets where we are active," he added. "We feel that by having our own branch in the UK, we will be that bit closer to the market and therefore react quicker to any changing market needs."
    The Dal-Bo UK operation will be based at Aylsham, Norfolk, and the company will be officially launched at Cereals 2010, where it is exhibiting on stand 949.
