RECO
has finalised an agreement with Canadian manufacturer Schulte that
gives it the sole rights to import and distribute the company's range of
specialised
machines
in the UK. The agreement took effect from May 1 and Reco is
already off to a good start, having achieved several sales in the UK in the
first few weeks of the new arrangement. The Schulte range of machinery encompasses rotary cutters, rock removal equipment and snow blowers. Although Reco will
focus predominantly on rotary cutters for the UK market, the other machines will also be available here. Schulte has been manufacturing rotary cutters
since the 1980s and has achieved significant success across the globe. The company's
machines are well designed and contain many innovations combined with strength
and performance ahead of their rivals. The rotary cutter range starts at 1.8m and extends out to include the world’s largest rotary cutter with a width
in excess of 12m. The range of rotary cutters is very versatile and
designed to be used in roadside maintenance, brush cutting and shredding crop
residue. The larger machines are aimed at reducing time in the field for large
operators, minimising fuel costs and aiding with conservation management. Schulte chief executive Kevin Dow said his company's mission was to deliver products worldwide with quality, value, service and trust. "We are completely convinced that through this new partnership, Reco will extend
this commitment to all Schulte customers throughout the UK," he said. "We are greatly
looking forward to working with Reco to increase the recognition of the Schulte
brand." Reco managing director John Walls added that he was
pleased to be working with such a strong manufacturing partner building and
delivering quality machines into the UK market. "The addition of the Schulte
range will complement our current machinery ranges in both the agricultural and groundscare markets," he said.
