Reco: Maschio UFO discs join cultivation line-up
Published on July 8, 2010
Reco has added the Maschio UFO disc harrow to its line up of tillage machinery where it joins the Italian firm's power harrows and rotary cultivators. The independent disc harrow has a double row of notched, angled discs that are capable of working at fast speeds and guarantee a highquality result. The inclination and overlap of the discs ensure a constant working depth. The cultihub incorporates a sealed oil-bath lubrication for higher reliability and reduced maintenance costs, and industrial-strength bearings for differing loads and high rpm that can withstand a 20 per cent heavier load than competitor machines. The hub ensures the reliability of the harrow and enables the machine to work up to 10,000ha in heavy conditions without requiring maintenance. The 615mm diameter notched boron steel discs are mounted on square curled springs for improved shock absorption and are manually adjustable. New disc side protection is easily adjustable and guarantees complete retention of soil even in the heaviest conditions.
