More than 1,000 visitors saw Sumo's new Trailed Rigid Trio at the company's factory open days.
Sumo UK used its annual open days to launch the all-new Trailed Rigid Trio.
“The key features of our all-new Trailed Rigid Trio are the ball hitch, three-point linkage, auto-reset as standard and an enhanced chassis,” Sumo’s Stewart Peckitt said.
“The ball hitch gives improved depth control and can achieve tighter headland turns; the three-point linkage means that the draft sensor on the tractor can take the load in adverse conditions giving optimum performance; and auto reset is now standard. The enhanced rigid chassis also makes road transport of Trio that much easier.”
A kit was previously available to convert Sumo's mounted Trios into trailed machines, but this development means that a dedicated trailed unit can be bought directly from the factory. Power requirements for the 3m version will be 140-300hp depending on soil conditions.
Prices for the Trailed Rigid Trio start at £26,121 for the 3m version.
The 2010 Sumo Open Days were held on November 11 and 12 at the company’s 100,000 square feet factory at Melbourne, near York, and attracted more than 1,000 visitors from all over the UK. The event gave visitors the opportunity to view Sumo's full range of cultivation equipment and to see at first hand the production lines with working demonstrations of Sumo’s Trumpf laser cutter and robot welders.
