A new Sumo prototype, the Vaxio 4, was displayed for the first time on the company’s stand at Lamma 2011.
    The new cultivator features two rows of scalloped, serrated discs; two rows of tines; a paddle bar to level ridges made by the tines; and a tyre packer at the rear.
    Aimed at light land cultivation at 25-30cm, the disc depth can be hydraulically altered on the move.
    Field tests will take place this year, with production models likely to be available from 2012.
