The FlexPack from Lemken runs parallel to the plough frame.
Furrow presses that are fully mounted on the plough can offer a practical and time-saving solution by avoiding the need for a separate transport tractor. The new FlexPack from Lemken is just such an integrated packer, which can deal easily with variable working widths for mounted and semi-mounted ploughs.
In contrast to previous packers, with their fixed working widths, the new FlexPack automatically adapts to the working width of the plough, because the packer frame runs parallel to the plough frame. This avoids strips of land being double pressed when the plough does not utilise its maximum working width. Only the new FlexPack guarantees uniform reconsolidation of the soil.
Another advantage is the fact that the FlexPack is also used during ploughing of the first furrow, and the packer can be used both at the headland and edges of the field.
The packer rings are arranged offset in pairs, with a diameter of 60cm and a V-profile to ensure that work is performed without any clogging. An excellent pressing effect is achieved without them sinking too deeply into the soil. The load transferred to the FlexPack can be adjusted hydraulically to provide the optimum level of consolidation for all conditions.
The FlexPack for the Juwel 8 mounted plough and Diamant 12 semi-mounted plough will be available from Lemken from the summer of 2012.
