Kuhn has extended its
range of mechanical seed drills with the addition of the Sitera.
Available in 3m format, the mechanical drill can be used in combination
with Kuhn's HRB 303, HR 100 or HR 1000 series power harrows.
Kuhn has extended its
Maxima 2 range of precision seed drills with the addition of a 12m
trailed model. Working in 16 or 18 row formats, the Maxima 2 TRX offers
seed spacing from 70-80cm and folds to 3.5m for transport.
Horsch
will use the 2012 Lamma Show to launch two new drills – the Horsch
MiniDrill and DuoDrill – that are designed to extend the capabilities of
Horsch's existing cultivation equipment, making them suitable for both
first time and existing customers.
Horstine will launch a
new oilseed rape seeder called ProSeed at Lamma 2012. The unit can be
fitted to a wide range of subsoilers and cultivators to accurately
broadcast or band sow oilseed rape.
Simba Great Plains
will stage the UK launch of its new V-300 range of drills at Lamma 2012.
The V-300 is a 3m mechanical drill that needs just 100hp and is
designed specifically for Northern Europe. It can work in both
non-inversion tillage systems and as a direct drill.
Väderstad's first
precision maize drill will be launched at Agritechnica 2011. The Tempo
is a trailed six- to eight-row drill that's designed to be used at high
speed in conventional, reduced tillage and no-till conditions and will
be available in the UK for the 2012 season.
Trials
conducted by Saaten Union have shown a 26 per cent increase in wheat
yield, worth £333/ha, from crops that have been direct drilled compared
to those established using conventional cultivation-based establishment
techniques.
Demand is growing for
fertiliser placement in rape and cereal seeding. For this reason,
Lemken has added a 6m grain and fertiliser version of the
Compact-Solitair with Heliodor-based cultivation section. Seed and
fertiliser are placed simultaneously, with the fertiliser placed between
the seed rows.
Agritechnica 2011
will see Lemken unveiling its trailed Compact-Solitair drill combination
with power harrow in a 3m working width version. The 3,500-litre hopper
gives the unit greater field efficiency than a mounted drill, with a
single filling allowing seeding of up to 20ha of wheat
This year's Tillage
event near Abingdon on September 14 will mark the debut of two new
Maschio drills - the Primavera tine seeder and the Alitalia pneumatic
drill - courtesy of new UK distributor Opico.
Simba Great Plains' new
Centurion cultivator drill provides European farmers with a new standard
of accuracy and sophistication in drilling in a machine that offers
in-built ease of maintenance.
A new mounted seed drill featuring Pöttinger's proven dual-disc coulter design will make its debut
at Cereals 2011. The Vitasem ADD joins the existing Vitasem range of
mechanical seed drills - with which it shares its seed hopper, metering system and Compass control system - and is available in 3m or 4m working widths.
Väderstad's has
introduced a new multi-use combination drill that can accurately place
seed in rows while at the same time apply fertiliser across the full
cultivated working width of the machine. The unique design concept also
allows farmers to under-sow cereal crops with grass and drill forage
crops such as peas with barley.
Simba Great Plains'
Spartan drills offer high output from machines that fold to 3m for
transport - an ideal combination for professional farmers and
contractors using reduced tillage and direct drilling.
The Cirrus 02 is one of Amazone's new range of Generation 2011 drills
and will be seen in the UK for the first time at Cereals 2011.
Available in working widths of 3.0m, 4.0m and 6.0m, it features a new
look, modern design and comes bristling with new equipment.
The GreenDrill seeder
unit is Amazone's new solution for the sowing of catch crops and
reseeding grass. The GreenDrill can be mounted onto a variety of Amazone
soil tillage implements up to 4m working width.
Kuhn has extended its range of mechanical seed drills with the addition of the Sitera.
Available in 3m format, the mechanical drill can be used in combination
with Kuhn's HRB303, HR100 or HR1000 series power harrows.
Previously seen in the UK
only as a prototype, Kuhn's new CSC6000 power harrow and drill
combination, with TF1500 front hopper, offers larger arable farmers and
contractors a flexible, high-work-rate pneumatic seeding option.
Spaldings has added a new Universal Air Seeder to its farm machinery
range. With a spreading width of 6m, the unit is designed to fit
directly to the Spaldings Flatlift or Tined Weeder, but can also be
fitted to any make of subsoiler, cultivator or grass harrow.
Vaderstad has
launched the Spirit Next seed drill with a new metering system called Fenix
II and a unique design of a cushioned rubber mounting for the coulter
assembly.
Teagle will launch a
seeder for oilseed rape establishment that can be mounted on its range
of Multidisc harrows at Lamma 2011. The unit offers cultivation and
sowing in one pass.
